Day 34 - 331 Days to go
26 Days until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Sumatra/Colombia) A tribute to the fishermen staying with us this weekend. - They really weren't lost.....They just may tell you that to keep the place where they caught their fish a secret.
It is another week in the books here at the Resorts and with good weather, it's been busier than the normal first week of February. We did have fishermen staying here and they did catch fish. One of the lures they selected from the tackle shop was a "Wee Craw" by Rebel. I explained to them that it was one of the more popular crankbaits for trout on the lake. He gave me a "Well Maybe" look. But 30 minutes later, he came back in and bought out my entire inventory of them. He said the first 5 casts all caught fish. Not too bad I'd say. I knew they were good in the summer but this proves they work in the winter too.
We spent most of the day working in Ozark getting final clean up around the house done. I thought that maybe I could move a pile of dirt with a shovel and wheelbarrow. My better sense took over and we brought a tractor along. Good thing too, it was more dirt than I remembered.
We finished the day at Flat Creek Grill which is a ways away but worth it. It's actually close enough to the treehouses that it became a no-brainer when we returned the tractor.
