April 24 - Resort Adventures

April 24, 2019
Day 114 - 251 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Fog (Guatemala Decaf)

In spite of the mayhem we experienced yesterday, we did actually get things done around the resorts. Under an all day threat of rain, we still managed to get the roof boards painted and installed on our pool side Tiki Hut. The fence around the bottom is next on the list. Cap'n Ray came around and helped get the pool cleaning started. It went from a very dark green to a very light green in one afternoon. Today saw even more improvement. I also think we are getting a feel for what we want to do with the decks. Choosing color schemes and themes is probably the most difficult challenge for me. I'm more of an "Architectural Design" guy with structures and things. But we'll get it figured out,

The Last Resort Project: We met with Realtors today to get a listing established for "The Last Resort". We will continue working on it as we have time until it's sold or completed.

“What sort of adventures?' I asked, 'All sorts, Getting on the wrong train. Stopping in an unknown city. Losing your briefcase, being arrested by mistake, spending the night in prison. Monsieur, I believe the word adventure could be defined: an event out of the ordinary without being necessarily extraordinary.”
Jean-Paul Sartre

Should have used this one yesterday!!! (Read about the "Getting Arrested" part here!)
