August 2 - Resort Adventures

August 2, 2019
Day 214 - 151 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Trail (Guatemala)

I have received some interesting news recently that perhaps "Cap'n Ray" may be returning to the area. I hope so. He left me a message that he would be in town this weekend to talk about it. Ray is one of those guys that when he's not there, it really seems like something is missing. He took care of our "Last Resort" property for several years, keeping the pool water "Sparkling like Diamonds" as he called it. He also was responsible for the colorful flowers, odds and ends vegetable planting we would find up there and painting things when they needed painting.

Mainly though, he likes to fish. I told him that I'd trade him time in our Jon boats if he would get some pictures and video's from around the lake. We just got that started when he moved to Illinois. But maybe we can get that going again.

The Last Resort Project:
I picked up a truck load of supplies to begin doing more work and upgrades at the Last Resort. We are scheduling all of that to begin on Monday.
