Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Trail (Guatemala)
Yesterday I realized that I've probably never really explained the Base Camp idea that we've been using for the last year or so. The idea itself was hatched on a cruise. We found that with four resort properties, we were constantly struggling with the various identities of each one of them and seeing confusion among our guests and prospective guests not quite figuring out what we were. we would talk everything from treehouses, to lake front, to boat rentals, to RV parks, to tackle shops and so on. Each thing had it's own specialty but at the same time they were all connected. It doesn't sound that complicated but we continually had to help people figure out what exactly we were.
The Base Camp Resort and Cabin Co. was the start of the solution. We haven't taken it as far as we plan to yet, but it is a start. It's essentially an "Identity" that encompasses many activities, locations and products. Maybe it's just complicating things even further, I don't know. But for now, I like the way the image is developing.
You'll see the Base Camp logo showing up more and more on things related to our Adventure!
