October 24 - Resort Adventures

Day 298 - 68 Days to go

Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Trail (Guatemala)

We are in the middle of learning what it's like to be in a Resort holding pattern. Of course, the Treehouse Resort is still going strong and we get to slip in and out of the activities there. Mostly though, we are beginning to wrap up odds and ends things with other non-resort business while we continue to work on the next step of our Adventure. Tonight, however, we got to take part in an annual Autumn Treehouse tradition hosted by our staff members for the enjoyment of kids (young and old alike) who are guests in the resort this weekend. Among things like Roasting Hotdogs over a Bonfire, Pumpkin Painting and a Hay Ride, there was a bit of Trick or Treating going on as well. RV's throughout the Park left lights on for the kids and they stopped with TWO loads of Hay Ride kids at our place for candy. Shelley overloaded them with sugar which the kids didn't seem to mind. I guess we'll possibly hear about that tomorrow from the parents!

Imagine all of the memories happening tonight as these kids experience life in the Treehouse Resort, hay rides and such. I can tell you that they ALL had smiles a mile wide and as they pulled away and headed back into the darkness, I heard the fading song coming from the hay wagon..... Baby Shark do do do do do do Baby Shark do do do do do do.......... Try to forget that now! LOL
