Day 417 of the Adventure

With the deck platform complete (or nearly complete) we've finally been able to completely finish the log siding installation on the cabin. The back was too tall for comfort prior to the deck. With the deck, we could get into the peak without the use of tall ladders. It was nearly dark by the time the last piece went in. A few minutes later, the drizzle of rain we had been expecting began.

Each step of the process brings the cabin in the woods experience closer to reality. Part of our plan has always been creating the environment of a backwoods lifestyle. I can honestly say that the feel is starting to get there. It's all proof that a little determination and dreaming is really all it takes to change course in one's life experience.
