Day 431 of the Adventure

The morning brought with it a promise of rain, but a reality of fog. Not enough to obscure everything, just the mountain to our northwest. It's days like this I love sitting out on the deck just looking at it. Our intention is to build a self-sufficient lifestyle in the woods, but I am easily side-tracked into just sitting with a cup of coffee absorbing the nature that surrounds us here.

I promised to not start my countdown until Spring this year. However, on a mild day like today, this would have been the perfect opportunity to chalk up the day as a "win". A win in the sense that it would not be possible for anything to freeze, and the heat would not have to run for most of the day. This would have meant that we were one day closer to Springtime with no casualties. (I Know...... I'm weird that way!) The irony of it is that Winter has not yet even officially begun.
