Day 458 of the Adventure

A week and a half ago, SW Missouri was staggering under the influence of seven below zero temperatures. This morning, I walked outside at about 7am to 62 degrees. In our part of the state, the lowest average high temp in the winter is still about 44 degrees and the upcoming week or two looks to be about......... average. It's one part of my life that I would still prefer to be above average, but just average is still okay. I guess I'm a little overly obsessed with temperatures and the weather in general. Especially those in the winter.

On the subject of our kitchen progress, I got the shallow shelves built and installed today. What remains to be done is a couple more partitions and adjustable shelves to increase the versatility. After that, there will be the face frames and doors to build. As they are right now, they are able to take a lot of "storage pressure" off the cabin regarding food and kitchen supplies. Perhaps the most significant impact it's made is in the encouragement Shelley has been given that something other than things that have to do with dirt, trees, rocks and other outdoor stuff is now getting done.
