Day 836 of the Adventure
Everything we do across our media platforms involves us working towards building a more Self-Sufficient life and lifestyle. This includes instructional and entertainment-based content as demonstrated by us actively building that lifestyle for ourselves one piece at a time. Whether that material has value to anyone else or not, we honestly don't know other that by the interaction we receive from viewers. Nevertheless, it's a commitment we've made and intend to continue. We hope the viewers and readers can find relevance in some of it. Occasionally it has it's "techno-challenges'" and we are in the middle of one right now.
In my posting back on January 1, I was busy complaining about the extra effort I was facing due to some policy changes in the email newsletter system we use. It was forcing me into creating a website and going through yet another learning curve related to technology......... Technology kicks my butt every time. The best I can do is attempt to understand it just enough to survive and stay somewhat functional. At the moment we decided that a website would have to be added, Shelley and I made another decision. If we have to do the website anyway, we may as well put it to use for other things and integrate as much of our other media activities into it. BY THE WAY! that entire paragraph was totally agonizing and irritating to not only write, but it's even worse to read!
What it means is that along with the site, we are linking it with our 2 YouTube channels, this blog you're reading, our Facebook pages, the email newsletter and an online retail store. It's all things we've been doing anyway, they've just never been very well connected to each other. I guess with the "stabilizing" of the "Camp Run-Amuck" cabin project, we'll finally have some time and energy to devote to getting the media stuff ironed out. Here's a little bit of a snap-shot of what all is out there related to The Campfire Trail.
