If you've been following the progress on our house building project down here in the woods, you've probably noticed a theme. Me complaining about the recent hot weather. Yes, it's been hot. It reached 100 degrees both yesterday and today. We had a semi-brilliant idea recently and just now got around to getting it implemented. It's a "Party Tent". The name may imply fun and festivity, but in our world, it means just one thing....... Shade. In fact, it may very likely be covered with cement splatters very soon and that's okay. We set it up where we are continuing to extend the footings on the far southeast corner of the basement. We've already noticed that it feels about ten degrees cooler under the white canopy than it does if you step out from under it. At 10' x 20', we'll be able to move it along the path of progress and keep ourselves shaded most of the time. That's Real Progress!
