Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek
Today, I would like to announce that we will be working with a local guide this year. Many have asked for guides that know the lower Lake Taneycomo region and I have had a very hard time locating one. Jordan Isaacs has been fishing this lake for years and knows it as well as anyone I've met. He loves the bass fishing here, but he can put you on to Crappies and Trout as well. He told me that the Crappie's are already hitting this year and he's gotten into them several times and it's still early January. He offers his services on Taneycomo as well as Bull Shoals. If you are staying at any of our Rockaway Resorts, he can hook you up for some good fishing!
50 days until March 1. It's moving faster for me than it seems to have in the past. I'm sure it's mostly because we've been busier than normal. But I'm sure it's also been because the weather has been milder than normal. Last night was the coldest it's been since the first of January and it was still only 25. I decided to gamble just a little and not turn the heat on in the cabins and save some utility cost. As it turned out when I checked them this morning, they were all plenty warm enough inside to keep anything from freezing.
