Day 9 - 356 Days to go
51 Days until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: (Don't Laugh) Ozark Mountain Blueberry
The Resort Life (and the subsequent Adventures) would probably not always include much of the things I did today which is reaching beyond resorts to "Project X" kind of things. I spent much of the morning meeting with banks and continuing to gather financial information on essentially another entire business plan. Our "X" project, assuming we can get it done, would bring an element of entertainment, music and food to our resort companies. Many years ago I spent time learning from several investor types of people and they all said to learn to grow multiple businesses. One was fond of saying that "Seven is good, ten is better" speaking of multiple businesses. As I was learning this, I happened to meet up with a resort owner at a lake we were vacationing at in northern Minnesota. He was a fascinating man and I discovered while visiting with him that he owned three resort properties. Two in Minnesota and one in Canada. That's when the light bulb came on. We were less than one year into our first resort ownership and it had not yet dawned on me that there was no rule saying you couldn't own more than one!
As I raced around Branson today and planned to pick up supplies for the next cabins, I discovered I had asked all the right questions except for one. "Is it all in stock?" so I will wain another day before getting going on that project.
51 days until March first. the good weather and busy "Off Season" (insert laugh here) schedule is making it feel like Spring is almost here. I don't think I'll get anywhere near all of my off season list completed.
A Little Peek at "Project X" (maybe another pic tomorrow) |
