Day 14 - 351 Days to go
46 Days until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Dark (Colombian Dark French Roast)
Last Friday, we received a glimmer of hope on the "Project X" from our bank. While I've been to this point before on other projects and had everything fall apart, I'm getting cautiously optimistic about this. The bank drove by the property after our meeting last Friday and called this morning saying that they wanted to look at the inside of the building as soon as possible. In "Bank Talk", it felt like a good sign to me. This of course set a flurry of activity into motion, so as a Monday, things were borderline frantic.
We met with potential clients for "X" late in the morning for some Cracker Barrel breakfast. Our next stop was to meet with our first committed client for "X" and then to meet with computer and ________ systems (can't quite give too much of a clue just yet) on Project X. Of course that meeting involved food as well. It's a good thing we are actually into the slow season at the resorts. I don't know how we would fit in all of the meetings if the cabins, and especially the marina, we "Summertime busy".
I did carve out enough time while chasing around Branson to pick up the necessary materials for getting the first couple of Black Bear Cabins up and going. The only real obstacle I'm dealing with there is getting the city to cooperate on some ordinances. The ordinances themselves are great, I'm simply encouraging them to enforce them properly. Today is one of their meetings so I do hope they deliver some good news tomorrow.
Oh, by the way. I ran an interesting "test" on facebook today. By the end of the day I had not got the feedback I was hoping for but sadly, I got the feedback I expected. ……… More on that later.
