The first week of 2019 is in the books at the resorts. Temperatures are the big news. We've enjoyed the upper 60's all weekend. Shelley spent yesterday getting the Christmas decorations around the pool and on the deck taken down. It feels too much like Spring to keep the Christmas reminders hanging around. We were surprised to find dandelions blooming in the back yard. In fact, I think that we need to get a "First of the year, evening bon fire going pretty soon.

I have to add a little bit of humor to the mix today. We have been having fun with some oddball marketing around the resorts. It includes Bigfoot sightings, Ghosts of Al Capone and Mrs. O'Learys Cow and alien encounters among other things. While you are welcome to come and investigate any of these stories for yourself. I would imagine that the best you will come up with is a story or two of your own that we may publish in an upcoming issue of "The Rockaway Beach Inquirer". One of my favorites is the "Ghost Cow" story as a tribute to one (or more) of the fires over the years in Rockaway Beach. (It's all in fun of course...….. Or is it?) The stories only take a couple of minutes to read, and most contain a video commentary by my friend "Wild Willie".
