February 1 - Resort Adventures

February 1, 2019
Day 32 - 333 Days to go
28 Days until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: (Chocolate Mintcicles)

Tomorrow is Groundhog day and I wanted to just put all groundhogs on notice of how we dealt with last years groundhog.

Actually, the winter has been pretty good so far (if there is such a thing) We are now into February and the extended forecast looks  really good. Warm weather in February is definitely a bonus. Not only does it allow us to get outside things done more comfortable, but we don't have to heat everything to guard against freezing. I think that we will be able to get more of the work done on the Black Bear Cabins this weekend and next week. Along with breaking out the power washer and cleaning a few things up.

I was at the treehouses this morning for a few minutes. While there, we had people checking into the treehouses. I got a few updated pictures of the newest construction site. It will be our biggest treehouse cabin by far at nearly 900 square feet. Not terribly large as houses go, but for a treehouse, it's huge. We have not decided on a name for it yet, but there have been a few suggestions, one of which we really like. This treehouse will have an old water mill design and theme throughout. It will have a real water wheel turning with real water. two bedrooms with King sized beds. An outdoor hot tub on the back deck and a "cool factor" of about 10.2

I arrived there just in time to drink a cup of coffee with Pat (aka Patsquatch Byrne, our resident Bigfoot enthusiast) He and I were the only members of the "Campfire Genius Club" this morning. But that's okay, we were still able to solve a number of world issues along with deciding that a cruise to the tropics would still be a good idea for this winter.
