February 19 - Resort Adventures

February 19, 2019
Day 50 - 314 Days to go
10 Days until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Fog (I personally don't drink it because it's decaf. But it's made from the same Guatemala beans as "Lost on the Trail" so it's still really good)

Well here we are with only 10 days left until March 1. It's a magical date in my world when I can safely say (and actually believe) that winter is behind us. It also means that most everyone else feels it's okay to begin making resort and fishing plans. So, with 10 days left of Winter, we have a Winter Storm Advisory to deal with today. I think that we will once again be spared the "Winter" part of it and mostly just get rain. I can live with that.

DON'T PANIC. THIS PICTURE IS NOT HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. A few years ago, we did get some winter at The Cabins and it made for beautiful pictures. I'm satisfied with these pics and could easily repost them for years to come without the benefit of new ones.

This was taken at Cross Timbers Cabins after about a six inch snow. It lasted for about three days and then was gone, but it was a pretty one!

I got a call from some people interested in looking at and possibly buying Cross Timbers Cabins today. They will be driving in tomorrow to look at them. Might be the start of another adventure!

The Last Resort Project:  I received a call from the Electrical engineers this morning and our work was approved to proceed. It really doesn't do anything for us until they hook the power back up, but some time later this week or early next, that should happen. I also spent some time today working in the kitchen of the house there, getting the flooring and cabinet bases leveled for installation. It looks like there will be time tomorrow to get a pretty good days work done there.

I'm not sure exactly how I feel about the following quote...…. But there is some truth to it!
“Too much mystery is merely an annoyance. Too much adventure is exhausting. And a little terror goes a long way.”
