Day 85 - 280 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Dark (Dark French Roast Colombian)
Leave it to Ray to torment me while I'm working and trying to actually get something done. He says he's my friend but then he goes and does this! Ray is actually a good friend. He's been helping around The Last Resort and living there in one of the small cabins. I've promised to get him some flower seeds to plant around the place to give it a little color. He's always been my fishing barometer. I've figured out if they're biting, he seems to be the one that knows it first.

The Last Resort Project:
The Last Resort Project (Cabin #6) started getting some badly needed attention today. We decided to replace the front door for starters. The old original one was 30" and not standard height. Both features were pretty worthless. I told Shelley I wanted to put a regular full size door in but it would increase the job from a two hour job to probably a seven hour job. And I wasn't too far off.
This cabin has a fireplace and even though we are into Spring pretty seriously, it was still cool and foggy this morning. I decided it was time to test the fireplace out, which I have never lit up in the seven years we've owned the place. I'm happy to report that it is still standing as of this evening so I think it's good!
“Go somewhere you know nothing about and see what happens.”
