June 16 - Resort Adventures - Week 24 In the Books

June 16, 2019
Day 167 - 198 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombian)

It's been hard to complain about the weather lately. We've had a few rainy and cloudy days but we've mostly been enjoying sunny weather. The pool is so clear, it almost looks like there's no water in it. We've made it through 24 weeks this year and are just now really reaching the busiest part of the season. This past weekend was evidence of that. I'm actually glad it was kind of a slow day today as far as needing to run up and down the steps anyway. There was a boat out that gave me a reason to be on the dock. Sunday always includes plenty of boats stopping in for fuel at the dock but other than that, it was mostly relaxing. As far as taking reservations, I think it may have been the biggest day so far this year. Mostly it was boats for around the July 4 week and a few cabins. Most of them were trying to squeeze in last minute bookings for around July 4 as well. But we are FULL for that week.

I got to spend a little while today watching our grandson. I took him to the tackle shop and got down on the floor and played with him. I suppose the adventure here only means much to a grandpa and a grandson, so even if it isn't of interest to anyone else, we had a good time.

The Last Resort Project:
I found out that my rehab guys took a trip to Michigan to visit family so we are on hold for a day or two again.
