Day 210 - 155 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Colombia/Sumatra blend)
Monday started out dreary and stormy. I actually loved it. I was able to sit out on the deck and enjoy coffee and the peace and quiet in between the occasional thunder. (We have a covered deck in front of the tackle shop to keep the rain off) After a long weekend, it can be hard to get very motivated on Monday. When rain and Monday happen together, it's like a piece of heaven to me. In fact, I've been known to fall asleep in one of the lounge chairs during a rain on way more than one occasion.
Later in the morning the sun broke out and we went back to "Busy Summer" again. Today, however was different in one good respect. I got an email early in the afternoon that the dam at Powersite had finally been repaired. I quickly looked out the window and sure enough, the water was noticeably higher. A couple hours later, the lake was full again. So we are back to normal. Boats and boat owners are rejoicing everywhere. By evening the cool air from the lake and the cool water fog bank had moved back in for our enjoyment.
