July 28 - Resort Adventures - Week 30 In The Books

July 28, 2019
Day 209 - 156 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Fog (Guatemala Decaf)

Once again, the week has been a busy one. There's still basically one month left of "Summer" as the Resort season is concerned. The low water levels in the lake have certainly not helped the summer business, but we'll make it anyway. It's still been an overall good year for business. There's been a large family here for several days that fish all day, play in the evening and generally have a great time doing everything together. Including a lot of laughing and jesting during their family corn hole tournaments.

The fishing has been unbelievably good during the low water. I watched two of our pontoon boats slowly pass in front of the resort probably six or eight times today trolling for Trout. Every time they passed, I saw them reeling in fish. They kept limits for everyone on board but released more than they kept. They were catching between 30 and 50 per day.

“Life isn't a merry-go-round, it's a roller coaster. Life won't always be smooth, it may not always be pretty, but it will be an adventure — one not to be missed.”
Robert Glover
