Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Dark (Colombian Dark French Roast)
Well here we are a day before the July 4th community activities and everyone is quietly preparing for the flood of people who will be arriving tomorrow. Oddly, we are actually experiencing an extremely slow, relaxing holiday so far. All of the guests are checked in making our resorts full to capacity. They are all doing their vacation things. The lake is still too low to get boats out, so all my incoming phone calls get pretty much the same answer, " We are completely booked on cabins so nothing is available" or "All of the boats are grounded until the water level returns to normal"
Still, with the lake not cooperating with customer requests, it's a great time to be "at" the lake. With the small amount of power generation going on upstream in the afternoon and evening, we are treated to a rolling fog bank on the lake almost every day.
