Day 190 - 175 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day:
“The death of a dream is the day that you stop believing in the work it takes to get there.”
Yesterday, I posted the above quote as the Resort Adventure quote for the day. The more I thought about it, the more I realized what a powerful statement it was regarding not only our adventure, but certainly everyone's life dream.
With us, the statement fits our "resort life" very well but maybe the treehouses in particular. While really anyone can find a way to live a "Resort Life", the treehouses represented way more of a challenge. It was tempting to give up on it many times before the project ever got off the ground (so to speak). It took years of "wishing" then when it was time to pull the trigger on it, there was still close to a year of battle to get the financing together for it. During that time, I threw the whole business plan and related presentations toward the trash several times in frustration. They never made it into the trash, but close! After almost 10 months, it finally became reality.
Now, people from all over the country marvel at the treehouse cabins we've built there and say amazing things about them in our "Treehouse Journals" that are placed in each of the cabins for people to share their experiences and memories.
As of today, our newest and nearly completed treehouse is closing in on the final days of construction.
