August 17 - Resort Adventures

August 17, 2019
Day 229 - 136 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Fog (Guatemala Decaf)

Today we "Got R Done" the old fashioned way! I must have made 50 trips up and down the stairs for one thing or another. Almost all of the boats were out on the lake coming and going along with weekend fuel customers and just a lot of general stuff. People are hearing about the tackle that is "unstoppable" at catching trout and I'm going through it by the case. Almost everyone heading out onto the lake is catching their limits and today was no exception. Even in the mid ninety's and the middle of the day it working. If you plan to do some trout fishing, it's not been any better than it is right now.

A lot of times you will hear me harping on the fact that there are other kinds of fish in this lake besides trout. And that is true. But I still need to remember that this lake is one of the VERY BEST trout fishing lakes in the entire country. If you like trout fishing, we got some of the best of it. If you've never been trout fishing, you should really try it!

The Last Resort Project: The boys started a project in Cabin 5 today that will give them more kitchen space. However, even with he work going on there, their favorite thing is still the campfires! Figure that one out!
