Day 230 - 135 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombian)
Thirty three weeks have passed this year so far and even though the end of Summer is nearing, the Summer heat and activity is still going strong. In the resort and vacation business, this week is typically the week we see kids returning to school. This means we will be transitioning to mostly weekend guests and as the weather begins to moderate, the fishermen (and women) will become much more prevalent. The fishing has been remarkably good this whole Summer but going into Fall, it will usually ramp up even more.
But for now, the Summer is still in full swing and in looking at the reservation calendar...…. We get the pool to ourselves for a couple days this week. In fact, I think I need to go jump in for a cool off myself!

The Last Resort Project:
The Last Resort is still making good progress as well. A couple of the smaller cabins had very small kitchen areas with awkward divider walls between the kitchens and living rooms. Brad decided to remove the one in cabin 5 just to see how it might help the space issue and I think it's going to work pretty good. It's a welcome break, I guess, from working on plumbing and "crawlspace' stuff!
“Who would wave a flag to be rescued if they had a desert island of their own? That was the thing that spoilt Robinson Crusoe. In the end he came home. There never ought to be an end.”
