September 21 - Resort Adventures - Autumnal Equinox

September 21, 2019
Day 264 - 101 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombian)

Technically, we began Autumn today. We did our best to get it started off right with a bon fire and campfire coffee. However, it still was bright, sunny and hot a lot like Summer. Nevertheless, we initiated the first day of Fall with a morning campfire.

Normally, as the Fall season approaches we get busy trying to keep the resort reservations coming in. This year, they are doing pretty good without a lot of extra effort so I think we will spend more time relaxing, working on cabins and simply enjoying the change of the season. Even though I am NOT a big cold weather kind of guy, I'm not sure anyone dislikes the change going into cooler autumn weather.

The boys (and girls) from The Last Resort seem to be excited about coming down on weekends and brewing up the morning campfire coffee for Eagle watching. We'll see how that goes. A couple years ago we did that through the fall and while a few people would show up regularly, it was mostly just us.

Nothing wrong with a quiet morning by the lake though!
