Day 294 - 71 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost at Sea (JUST KIDDING...… we don't have "Lost at Sea", but I think we should. May have to look into that!)
Monday, first day at sea and it's hard to ratchet down from busy to nothing, at least for me. Summer was made up of 12-16 hour days. Fall consist of 8 hour days and now I'm trying to get into 0 hour days as fast as possible. Shelley is always ready to try and do everything there is to do on board. I am always trying to find a quiet place to do absolutely nothing on board except to think, make regular trips to the coffee bar and lemonade stand. (and the occasional trip to the Pizza Pirate or Guy's Burger Joint) Speaking of food, our first real day at sea included Steak and Eggs with all the extra's on the menu. How awesome is that??? Barbecue with all the extras for lunch, Prime Rib and Lobster with all the extras for evening dinner followed by Crème Brule'...….. And then Pizza Pirate for a late snack!
I love Cruise Ships!
Believe it or not, we could not restrain ourselves from discussing resort business at least for a while today. Obviously vacation has not taken proper hold of us yet. We'll have to try better tomorrow! BUT, this is a good time to explain a little of the "Traveling Coffee Cup" tradition. It started out quite innocently with a random cup, but grew into an odd phenomenon. Once the original fell to the pool deck and broke, we upgraded to a Traveling Cup 2.0 to continue the tradition. It (or one of it's brothers or sisters) may show up in a picture from literally anywhere in the world. I have dozens upon dozens of pictures that still need uploaded to the Pinterest board. Go there to see some of them. Send me a pic of your own traveling cup when it photobombs you. (If you don't have one yet, you can order one below)

Adventure Quote: “Adventure is allowing the unexpected to happen to you. Exploration is experiencing what you have not experienced before. How can there be any adventure, any exploration, if you let somebody else - above all, a travel bureau - arrange everything before-hand?”
