Day 325 - 40 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Dark (Colombia Dark French Roast)
I was thinking a little more about yesterdays posting and the "hazardous activity" part of the Adventure definition. I suppose it must be "hazardous" to a degree. It evidently scares a lot of people off. The hazards to life and limb are really not a factor. (We're not quite that wild and crazy) I guess it's just the "exploring the unknown" part of the definition that is uncomfortable to some. I don't know how to get over that if it's not already part of your DNA. I'm thankful that my wife and my kids have that in their systems. I'm determined that our grandkids will have opportunity to experience "Adventure".
As I looked for an appropriate picture for this post, I sifted through hundreds of pics of us in our daily adventures. For what ever reason, this one stood out to me above the others this time. It's our grandson driving a 40 ft motor yacht. He's standing on the lower part of the steering wheel while hanging on to the top of the wheel. Of course he has no idea what he's doing...….. But then, neither do we most of the time. Behind him is our daughter Captain Adreane. Yes, she's a real Captain with a 100 ton Master Captain's license. I guess she knows what she's doing. (that's good for us)
I particularly like the "Exploring the Unknown" part of the Adventure definition. The Resort Adventure brings together two things I love...… "Resort" and "Adventure"
