Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Caramel Apple (seasonal flavor)
A wet drizzly day kept most of our Adventure indoors all day. Still, it was somewhat mild out. All of that will change tomorrow from what I understand. Working inside where it's warm while looking outside where it's cold is a simple pleasure. Somewhere in my past was a young man who loved working on renovation projects but always struggled with having the time to enjoy them while trying to make a living from it. These days, I have the time to enjoy it, plenty of projects to keep me as busy as I want to be. But the "Young Man" that was there is now gone. So now the projects are a little more strenuous (even the easy ones) but the enjoyment of working in a warm cabin with the rain drizzling around outside, coffee brewing in the cabin kitchen still holds magic for me. Room 12 at Rainbow Haven Resort will be experiencing a significant upgrade this Fall/Winter and it's right next door to the house, the tool shed, the lake, the ambient resort atmosphere and a big picture window to look out of when I take a break to watch the rain fall.
