Day 303 - 62 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Highlander Grogg (Butterscotch/Rum flavored)
The tackle shop office at Rainbow Haven Resort was beyond chilly this morning. Usually a hot cup of coffee can compensate for it, but today it would have taken starting up a heater. So the time has come to move the office part of it into the house. The biggest problem there is that the house office has been collecting all the overflow from the tackle shop office all Spring and Summer. A full day of cleaning and organizing went into the move but by the end of the day, it was mostly back in shape to actually use.
With cold weather more and more in the forecast, it was also time to click the pool pumps back on. We've learned that probably the easiest way to protect the pool equipment is to simply leave it running all winter. I've looked back at previous years and find that everything except the rooms and cabins pretty much comes to a stop in November and remains that way through February. In past years, we kept pushing all parts of the business, but this year I think we won't. Instead, we will focus our cold weather efforts on continuing the upgrades around the resorts. It's not as exciting from an "Adventure" point of view, but should be fun to watch the progress.
