Day 302 - 63 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombia)
I found myself on "Flood Watch" again last night. Not that I really thought it would happen, but I didn't think it would last time either. As it turned out, it was no problem. The water did rise quite a bit but not to the point where it left the banks. It would have taken about another 18" of rise to be a problem.
With the slowing of the season, we are now beginning to refocus on "off-season" projects. At Rockaway, That includes the continued upgrading of the Last Resort and some select improvements to The Rainbow Haven Resort. At the Treehouses, we are making plans to begin building three to four more treehouse cabins as well as make some upgrades to all six of the big cabins. This may be one of our busiest off-seasons since we got in to the Resort business. I spent most of the day working at the treehouses starting to get our plans together there. Once done there, I picked up one of our pontoon boats from some service work and headed back to the lake.
Life At The Resorts..... Still not a bad way to spend a Tuesday!
