Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Ozark Mountain Turtle (Chocolate, Almond Caramel flavor)
We awoke today to drizzling rain and temperatures dropping closer and closer to the freezing mark. What would have normally been a trip to the Treehouses today got changed to a trip out the front door and back into cabin 12 at Rainbow Haven. With sleet and ice pelting everything outside, Brad, Dave and I kept toasty warm inside continuing on the room 12 renovations. The insulation of the place also continued. These cabins were build for summer time use and really never did handle the cold all that well. As we removed some of the wall board to install new windows, it became clear that the thought of insulation never crossed anyone's mind back when the resort was built. It's not very convenient to try adding insulation everywhere, but we will have all the ceiling and about two thirds of the exterior walls adequately insulated by the time we're done. It will make them cozy in the Winter and easier to cool in the Summer.
