Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Fog (Guatemala Decaf)
As I looked back through the Resort Adventures postings this year, I'm amazed at what all we attempted to do. I can't even pick out one defining picture to represent it all. However, a campfire always comes close. It's the last day of the year. A year highlighted by highs and lows. The lowest was the loss of my mom and Shelley's dad. Some of the highs included the marriage of our youngest daughter and the first birthday of our grandson. PLUS the news of a second grandson who will be making his entrance into the Resort Adventure sometime in January. We've managed a couple minor floods, a couple of cruises, sale of our Ozark home and the sale of our very first resort property. A record setting year at the treehouses and a near record setting year at the Rainbow Haven Resort. Plus, we put "The Last Resort" back on it's feet (even though it keeps getting pushed back to a lower priority over the other resorts, it has made a lot of progress this year)
2020 will be a banner year based on what all we have going on right now that will be completed this coming year. There are six cabins receiving major renovations this year along with the construction of three new treehouses at Branson Treehouse Adventures. Rainbow Haven Resort id getting an exterior make-over along with the renovation of two of the more popular units there. The Last Resort will pick up again in the Spring when we have to turn our attention away from the resorts that will be bustling with guests once again. It will certainly be an interesting year!
