It's interesting what you uncover when working on a building. As we began preparing to work on Cabin 74 (The Elk Refuge) at the treehouse resort, we uncovered the shadow of an Elk on one of the walls. It's an interesting reminder to the passing of time in the cabins. The wall hanging that created it has probably been in the same exact place since the cabin was new. Somewhat protecting the wall boards from oxidizing affect of the air. This wall came out during the renovation and so our shadow elk is now displaced from it's home. I'm not sure why I found it so interesting, but there it is. The image of an elk watching over our cabin.
