The "Resort Adventure Starter Kit"
I realized that I've been talking a bit about the two Resort properties we have for sale but have not really given much information on them. One would be probably considered a part time or hobby Adventure, the other is a full blown business able to earn it's owners a nice living.
The Last Resort (my nickname for it) is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with seven rental cabins and a nice big pool. It has five of the cabins rented right now bringing in $1,975 per month in rental income. At $139,000, it make plenty of income to pay for itself with additional income potential still available.
Rainbow Haven Resort is a full service resort with an owners house, seven guest rental units, a boat dock with boat fuel station, rental boats, Kayak rentals, LP sales, bait and tackle shop and gift shop. It earns about $115,000 per year with about half of that being expenses and half of it profit margin. It's a busy place in the Spring and Fall and absolutely crazy busy in the Summer.
