Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombian)
One of the more complicated features we have built at the treehouses is the spiral staircase in the Owl's Roost treehouse. The steps were set into a large cedar log set in the middle of a "Silo" I guess is the best way to describe it. The light fixture hanging from the top is an old fashion buggy wheel.
The top of the roof at the silo is 42 feet above the ground measured to the lowest point at this treehouse site. In fact, this treehouse is tall enough to have a large deck with barbecue grill and patio furniture under the treehouse that is still well above the ground
