This year will end up being one of the most bizarre years in our resort experience. The Corona Virus scare has absolutely everything disrupted. Even though we are still open for business, there has definitely been a slow down in our lives and there's no telling when "Normal" will actually return. One thing I have noticed though is that when the weather is nice..... EVERYBODY seems to show up down at the lake. The Fishing Island across the harbor from Rainbow Haven Resort was bustling with activity today. I'm sure part of that has to do with the "Free Fishing" available from now through April 15. Nevertheless, people are getting out and enjoying the Springtime weather.

They certainly kept me busy in the tackle shop!

Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Trail (Guatemala)

The weather is really beginning to cooperate with people wanting to get out on the lake, do some fishing or just enjoy the fresh Springtime outdoors. I continued working on the Room 10 renovations most of the day. Later in the day, some of our Treehouse Resort staff called and declared that today would be an excellent day for an afternoon boat ride and Pizza!

Can't hardly argue with THAT!

SO...….. ride up the lake and the Pizza it was!

Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Dark (Colombian Dark French Roast)

Today turned out just as nice as yesterday and I made 50 trips back and forth in front of the Rainbow Haven Resort pool starting to get the resort back into shape for the season. It only made it to 81 degrees out today (Yes.....still March) and even though the pool is not ready for swimming, I was very tempted to jump in anyway. I know it would have still been cold but I should have done it. April is normally when I make my "First of the Year" pool jump. Maybe the weather will cooperate enough to get a March Jump in yet.

We'll see!
