Day 78 - 288 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Highlander Grogg (Butterscotch/Rum flavor)
I got a call late last night that "Our Water Broke" LOL. Actually, it happens more often than you would think in the resort business. Everything from people driving their RV away while still connected to the water supply, to us digging through a water line with the backhoe, to just an old pipe giving away. This time it was the entire treehouse resort that went down due to something happening in the wellhouse. (we presumed anyway) By midnight, we had pretty much isolated the problem to the well pump, but we could hear the well pump running, just no water coming out. There's a Mystery!
By morning, we had the Hillbilly Water Haulers (no kidding, that's their name) bringing 3,000 gallons of fresh water to partially fill our water tower. (or tank...…. tower sounds more impressive) The well guys showed up about the same time and determined there was a hole in the well pipe. After pulling about 400 feet of the nearly 1,000 feet of pipe, they found the breach, a small pencil sized hole in the pipe allowing the entire volume of pumped water to simply spray out and back into the well. Two hours later they had it repaired and we were back to normal.
