Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombia)
Saturday has come and gone and the fishermen (and fisher-girls) are determined to be on the lake. It started a little bit rainy, cloudy, windy and cool. The day ended sunny and beautiful though. Fish were caught and good times were had.
We had some very first time guests this weekend that started out with a two night reservation. Their typical Spring fishing trip is normally to one of the trout parks in the state which were all closed. They decided on Taneycomo for a change and two days and 50 some fish later, (mostly catch and release) they extended their stay and vowed they had found a new "Favorite" Fishing destination.
They kept enough fish for their meals and tonight, used our smoker to fix themselves lemon pepper trout with a slice of bacon on the smoker.
All I saw was smiles after that!
