Day 117 - 249 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombia)
This is the last weekend in April and today was our busiest day ever in the Tackle Shop. I think the regular cabin fever has been nothing compared to the Corona Cabin Fever. The kayaks and boats were busy as well. We were able to entertain some first time guests this weekend from the Kansas City area and the daughter got her first chance at a kayak and loved it.
Lake Taneycomo is almost a perfect lake for kayaking. It is the White River with a dam at either end. It's a relatively small lake (reservoir) that still resembles a river more than a lake. Meaning if you want to paddle with the current, you get some help. It also means that the water is flat almost all of the time with very little "big boat" traffic. We are situated immediately downstream from Bull Creek which is also an excellent kayak trip.
