Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Colombia/Sumatra)
Another week has passed at the Resorts and I'm beginning to feel like a normal season is almost upon us. Being on the Lake in Rockaway Beach, our guests are typically a mixture of three categories. People here to fish, people here visiting Branson or people here simply enjoying the peace and quiet that Rockaway is known for. With Branson still in part shut down and part start up mode, we are not really seeing the "Branson Tourist" group like we normally would but this is good for the fishing group. It's actually opened up more availability those who want to spend a few days fishing and relaxing. With most of the rest of the area entertainment closed, fishing has experienced a resurgence of sorts and that's a good thing. There's nothing quite like the smile you see when a nice fish is caught. If you don't believe that, have another look at the picture to the right!
So here we are, 20 weeks into the strangest season I've ever seen and still, life goes on and the prospect of having a wonderful outdoors experience has not been left to languish on the sidelines of life.
