Day 172 - 194 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Colombia/Sumatra)
The rumors are running rampant that some really big catfish were caught the other night down on the lake. We know they are in there even though not many people fish for them. Cap'n Ray was out early and stopped by for some coffee and was saying that he was about ready to get after some cats! (Catfish, that is) I told him I'd fix him up with some "Cat Tackle" if he promised to bring back some good pictures. I don't think he'd have been any more excited if I had given him $100. Ray knows the water here and where fish can be caught. He's brought us buckets of Crappies, Bass, Sunfish and is always proud to show off what he's caught even when everyone else is struggling with their fishing.
I drove by his cabin a little while later and he was busy making up lines.

Adventure Quote: “Fishing is an act of hope that leads to a net full of fish and a head full of dreams.”
