September 1 - DIY Homestead - Elderberry Time

Day 336 of the Adventure

The day began with a road trip to deliver our tractor to the repair shop. No real fault of the tractor. Mostly its a result of the extraordinarily hard and difficult ground we work in. We're not sure what the outcome will be yet with the tractor, but once delivered, we decided on a side trip to the local Berry Farm. Upon checking their website, we discovered that this is elderberry season. What is normally a Blueberry and Blackberry routine for us turned into an Elderberry run today. 

A bottle of Elderberry syrup and a jar of Elderberry jelly later.....Oh...... and a couple of Blueberry Thunder Muffins later. we were satisfied with our berry farm trip and headed back home. What else could improve a day like today!
