Day 392 of the Adventure

I was up long before it got light out this morning. We've cleared up most of the fallen, half decayed wood lying close by around the place, and I was trying to find some more for the fire this morning. The temperature at sunrise was 45 degrees and definitely qualified as "Brisk". While up the hill dragging some wood back, I stopped for a picture of the smoke rising from our cabin chimney. I'm not sure if there's a better image that depicts the Autumn season than smoke from a chimney. Especially one that includes the changing color of the leaves in the background.

Just in case you were wondering. Yes, I do sit out by the fire in the early mornings creating these postings. And yes.... at 45 degrees, trying to type on the keyboard is a challenge. It would perhaps be easier to type using chopsticks. I'm determined to squeeze as much of the outdoor life into my routine as I can, but honestly, I think I'm about to have to move this part of the routine into the cabin. At least for the early morning editions. In fact, I think it's time to move back inside and get ready for the day. More siding is on the agenda as the adventure continues.........
