Day 391 of the Adventure

Shelley had grandkid duty today and I spent a little time at the treehouses before returning to the log siding work on the cabin. Last night, we were just finishing up for the evening and decided to build a small fire on the west side of the cabin. We don't spend much time there because it's not where the work has focused our attention. In reality, it's much more "woodsy" over there because of that. I set up a camera and filmed our fire and woods, added a bit of peaceful music to it and here is a link to it. You can hear owls in the background.

Once again I feel grateful for our little slice of the Ozarks. After having lived in the area here 50 some years ago, I felt I had left a piece of me behind when our family moved back north. At 11 years old, my experience in the Ozark Mountains had left a profound impression on me. The quest to return took another 20 years and now nearly 30 years after that, here we are. I feel like I'm on a permanent camp out and loving every minute of it. For everyone dreaming of a similar experience, my only advice is; Don't give up on it!......
