March 3 - The Campfire Trail - Apocalyptic Scale of Fishing Supplies Stockpile

Day 884 of the Adventure

I think I'll have to laugh at the title to this chart I ran across the other day. While on the one hand, I suppose it is a good list for an "Apocalypse", but in reality, it's actually a pretty good list for simply being prepared for life in general. Seriously.......... Fishing Supplies.... I never thought of that as an apocalyptic prep. Fishing supplies are essential items for sanity in general! And COFFEE...... Everyone knows that's necessary for survival, apocalyptic or not! 

In reading through the list, I have to chuckle at the fact that I had no idea until now that I was already prepped for the apocalypse. Then I thought to myself, doesn't everyone have perhaps 90-95% or even 100% of all of this list already? Maybe not. Maybe the key word is "Stockpile". In a general sense, I guess my stockpile does include things like WD-40 even though I do not have a "stockpile" of WD-40. I do have what could be considered a "stockpile" of fishing supplies. Owning a fishing tackle shop and an online fishing tackle store, my fishing tackle stockpile is an impressive one by almost any standard. Maybe not by the Bass Pro standard. That would be ultra-apocalyptic! Most of my family would also be among the first to raid my apocalypse bunker for fishing supplies if they ever knew how vast it actually was.

The idea behind the size of my fishing supplies hoard is that I've always thought of someday firing the rocket on the online fishing business again. That, of course, may meet with some resistance from the family. In fact, I may need to even worry about becoming a "disappearance statistic" if they feel the fishing tackle inheritance factor is taking too long. The more I'm thinking about this, the more I'm finding the idea of a survival bunker necessary. I'm even beginning to question their motives about wanting to join forces in our preparedness activities. They probably just want to gain easier access to my hoard of fishing tackle. See, it's not that hard to go full conspiracy theory when fishing suppl............ Apocalyptic Survival Supplies are concerned!
