April 2 - The Campfire Trail - Shelley's Garden Salad is Already Waving at the Deer

April 2, 2024

Day 914 of the Adventure

We were able to squeeze in finishing another couple of garden beds before the storms got here last night. As of now, we are 2/3 done building them. Six down, three to go. Once done, we can complete the deer fence. Much of what Shelley planted last week is already up and advertising itself to the deer. It's time to start wrapping this up if we don't want to be standing "night-guard" in the garden. We went out to pick up more posts this morning and intend to keep the pressure on the project until the beds and fence are complete. After that, the rest can come together at a slower pace. 

I'm thinking back two years ago when we were franticly building our cabin to meet a "move-in deadline". This isn't quite the same but it feels a lot like it. More updates to come!
