Day 956 of the Adventure
The garden work just keeps marching on. Rainstorms and seed festivals sidetracked us for a couple days but once slow down and look up the hill, we can plainly see that the project still awaits our attention. During a short break between rain, we sat on the back deck of the cabin with coffee discussing the pathway we've chosen for life. We both concluded that even though we could have taken a path less strenuous, we are finding the "work" oddly enjoyable. Partly, I believe, because it has purpose (to us anyway) and partly because it's "our" work and can happen at our pace. The rain was light and intermittent, but persistent. By afternoon, we'd given up on trying to actually get anything done outside and headed off to pick up some supplies from town. This made the day a "Leisurely" day. One of the kind of days that counterbalances the hectic type days.

Adventure Quote: “Certainly work is not always required of a man. There is such a thing as a sacred idleness, the cultivation of which is now fearfully neglected.” ―
