Day 1,293 of the Adventure


We are 1,293 days into our Backwoods Adventure, roughly three and a half years, and as strange as it seems, we have never really developed the "Master-Plan" for the property. To be honest, the image in this article is not it. It does, however, give a glimpse into many of the components of our plan. I know, if you've been following us for very long, the question is "How can we be thinking of a larger master plan when we can't even get the basement for our house done. That is a good question, but nevertheless, dreamers have to dream. Our quest to create a self-sufficient life is something we've always believed should be taught and demonstrated. For the past few weeks, we've been giving considerable thought to what that should look like on our little footprint in the Ozarks. It's certainly too much to unpack in one short article. If an off-grid, homestead or backwoods dream is rolling around in your mind, I invite you to follow closely for the next few weeks as we begin to clarify the direction we will be taking beginning this summer.
