Day 1,337 of the Adventure
Once again, the season for the warmth of campfires and good company is upon us. Fires become a necessity when it's very cold out. Not always a pleasurable experience. Fires in the summer are great for camp ambiance, but generally much to warm to be comfortable. Late May is the perfect campfire season, at least if you first eliminate autumn evening fires from the competition. Last night was a good testament to this as we entertained friends with an evening fire. It's hard to imagine a better way to spend an evening. This fire lingered long into the night after our friends left for home, and we retired to bed for the night. The remnants of it were still alive the following morning as if to inquire if I could possibly rekindle it for a morning version. I gladly complied.

Adventure Quote: “My father says that fires are only dangerous if they get bored. Left alone they get frustrated and resort to evil. Best way to keep a fire happy is to let it lick food and hear stories” ―
