Just Another Day of the Process - July 4

Day 1,372 of the Adventure


Today is Independence Day and the work just simply continues. Holidays happen when you get them, or possibly, when you decide to "take them" down here in the woods. Our idea of a relaxing holiday is waiting for all the tourists to go back home so we can experience a less frantic pace when doing something holiday-ish! I can hear the chaos and commotion on the lake from here and I know what it would look like if I went there myself. So...... work on the summer kitchen continues. We've begun to add sheathing to the walls and the whole thing is looking a little out of place just there by itself without an actual house attached. That will gradually change though, and when it does, the scale will appear more natural. Of course, getting the it backfilled will make a difference as well. It's just one of those "one-step-at-a-time" kind of processes.
